The short version: Rokban does not sell data, shows no advertising and builds no profile of you. Here is exactly what is recorded, and why.

If you visit Rokban

Contact buttons

When you tap a button to contact a shop, Rokban counts it: which shop, which product, which channel (Telegram, phone…), the language of the page and the time. Not your name, not your IP address: this count cannot identify you. It shows each shop what Rokban brings them.

Server logs

Like every website, the server keeps technical logs of the pages requested (IP address, page, date, browser type) to keep the site secure and working. They are deleted after 14 days.

Cookies

• rokban-session and XSRF-TOKEN: technical cookies that protect forms and keep a seller signed in. They expire after 4 hours of inactivity.
• rokban_locale: only if you choose a language with the language switcher, to show Rokban in that language next time.

There are no advertising or analytics cookies, so there is nothing to consent to.

Searches

What you type in the search box is used to show results and is not kept against you.

Services the pages call

• The fonts come from Google Fonts: your browser downloads them from Google.
• Some product photos may be loaded from the shop's own website until Rokban has made its own copy.
• On the seller sign-in page, the Telegram button is provided by Telegram (telegram.org).
• When you share a product or contact a shop, you go to the service you chose (Telegram, Facebook, WhatsApp, the shop's website…), whose own rules then apply.

If you sell on Rokban

• Your account: your name, and either your e-mail address and password (stored only as an irreversible fingerprint) or, if you sign in with Telegram, your Telegram account number and name. Your language.
• Your shop: name, description, place, logo, contact channels, products and photos. This information is public: showing it to buyers is the very purpose of Rokban.
• Your statistics: the contact counts described above, shown in your seller space.
• Automatic translation: the texts of your products are sent to OpenAI to be translated into the other languages of the site. Only texts meant to be public are sent, never your account.
• Telegram: if you sign in with Telegram, Rokban may send you messages about your shop (for example when it is approved). Messages you write to @RokbanBot reach the Rokban team.

We keep this information as long as your account exists. You can delete your account yourself in the seller space of the Rokban app: your account, your shop, its products, photos and statistics are then deleted at once. You can also ask us, and we do it within 30 days. The nightly backups, kept 14 days, then no longer contain them either.

If you use the Rokban app

• No account to browse: buyers never sign in. Your favourite products and shops, and the language you choose, are kept on your phone only; Rokban does not receive them.
• The app downloads the catalogue from rokban.com: the server logs described above apply, as for the website.
• Sellers: the sign-in (with Telegram or an e-mail address) is kept in your phone's secure storage. The app asks for the camera or your photos only when you add a photo, and sends only the photos you choose.
• Notifications (sellers): if you allow them, the app gives Rokban your phone's notification address, to tell you when your shop is approved or suspended. They are delivered by Google Firebase. Signing out or deleting your account removes that address.
• Reporting a product: if you report a product, Rokban keeps the reason and the text you write, never who you are, and the team checks the product.
• The app contains no advertising, no tracking and no analytics tool.

Security

Encrypted connection (HTTPS) everywhere, passwords stored as irreversible fingerprints, access to the server restricted to the Rokban team, daily backups.
